IPOB, under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has announced it’ll launch a social welfare public works scheme to boost economic activities in Biafra land.
He said the initiative will help address lack of infrastructural developments, rehabilitate dilapidated schools, roads and take over maintenance of drainage systems in areas prone to flooding.
He mentioned Aba, Owerri, Onitsha, Abakaliki and Igweocha (Portharcourt) as crucial places to benefit from the project.
He said there was need to create a welfare outreach team to offer the public assistance wherever it was needed.
“There’ll be massive job creation in various sectors of the economy where raw materials can be locally sourced to help drive down the rate of unemployment especially among young graduates.”

Nnamdi Kanu said that there’s a high level discussions with Israeli businessmen to help facilitate the creation of high tech farm settlements and small scale industrial parks in Crossriver, Imo, Delta, Ebonyi and Benue state
