For raising Gov Abubakar’s hand, Buhari has lost votes in Bauchi –APC lawmaker

Ahead of the February 16 presidential elections, a Bauchi State House of Assembly lawmaker and member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Aminu Tukur, has revealed what will happen to President Muhammadu Buhari in Bauchi State for supporting the state governor.

He said Buhari defeated himself in the state the moment he raised the hand of Mohammed Abubakar, the state governor, adding that the President will not get up to 50 per cent of votes in the coming presidential poll in Bauchi.

Tukur represents Lere/Bula Constituency on the platform of the APC in the state House of Assembly. He said he was one of those who will vote against Buhari for supporting the state governor who he described as a failure.

“Buhari cannot decide the fate of the people of Bauchi State, if he had 90 per cent supporters in 2015, this time around he has less than 50 per cent.

“By raising the hands of Governor Mohammed Abubabakar, he (Buhari) defeated himself. Even the President will definitely not find it easy in Bauchi State this time around. I am one of those that will not vote for him again,” Tukur said.

On the alleged failures of the state governor he said, “The present government in Bauchi State is a failure; we have never had a government that is so loose, corrupt and inept in the way it handles things like this time around. A government that has served for more than three years and seven months has no N50million worth of project in any local government area of the state, despite the huge money that accrues to the state.”
